Just finished cleaning my nuker convection oven about an hour ago. A bowl of half water/half vinegar nuked on high for about 5 minutes followed by a scruffy sponge dipped in baking soda does a beautiful job. Do this once a week and you'll never have a baked on arm working out job.
For my regular oven I just spray the interior w/ water and baking soda, while the oven is still warm and wipe it down at meal's end. Again no massive build up cuz I do it regularly.
BobsYrUncle- no matter how careful you are mini fat globules and food particles will build up over time. Think of those yucky microwave ovens at workplaces and just extrapolate.
Using a cookie sheet under a casserole makes clean up of spillage easier as well.
