We have doing the grind and brew of colombian dark coffee beans for some time now... We use the Eight O'clock COLOMBIAN PEAKS brand of Bean coffee (always available from WALMART)... Works out great for our camping trips as it only take about five minutes to grind and brew using the Cuisinart DGB-600BC Coffee maker.
Our OFF-ROAD style of camping always has us running our 2KW Generator first thing each morning at 8AM to re-charge our 50% depleted 255Ah battery bank and that is a great time to make our coffee for the day.
We can run our generator again in the early evening and make up another pot to hold us through the night.
The Cuisinart brews up our fresh ground bean coffee is just five minutes of being on the generator and pours up into a thermo carafe...

Our back-up coffee maker is the Coleman camp fire peculator brewing fresh ground Colombian coffee beans using a Mr Coffee Bean grinder running off our Inverter setup... Comes up almost the same as using the Cuisinart brewer...

We always carry the same brand of bottled water for all of our coffee making which insures we get the same coffee taste we enjoy from every brewed pot..
Camping and good ole fresh grind and brewed bean coffee goes hand-in-hand with us...
