Coffee!

What is your favorite method for making coffee on the road?

Has anyone tried the under counter coffee makers listed here? http://www.kettleexperts.com/ultimate-guide-counter-coffee-makers/

We have taken along the Cuisinart drip machine and found it too cumbersome and large. Advice?
  • Cowboy coffee in the RV and at Home

10 cup stainless steel stove top percolator....remove percolator basket and stem (put in drawer, storage ----not needed or used)

Fill with COLD water and 4 heaping spoons of ground coffee

Bring to boil.......easy -----just to a boil then turn heat down to simmer for 10 minutes

Remove from heat.....pour 1/4 cup COLD water around top
Then fill up your MUG and enjoy!
  • We use a counter top drip-maker just like the one in our sticks and bricks. If not plugged in, we turn on the 2000 watt inverter to provide power for the coffee machine. We don't start the generator just to make coffee.
  • French press if dry camping or regular coffee maker if power is available.

I will not start the gen for coffee, not even the quiet inverter ones.
  • It looks like cr.. to me.
Good old percolator on the stove top is the way to go for me.
