- GjacExplorer IIII still use mine. It takes Colemen fuel or unleaded gas. The only problem I found was that the mantles on the lantern fall apart when traveling inside the MH so I rarely use it but still keep it inside the MH. When ever the stove starts to flare up I run a little Seafoam through the tank.
- alaska315ExplorerWe carry the older Coleman stove in the basement and also bought the adapter for it on Amazon to convert to the smaller gas bottles so we can use either fuel.We also have the propane lantern that take the bottle, but in both cases,we have an adapater to refill those small bottles from our larger 5er propane tank.Easy and cheap.
- TANDDANDBIGEExplorerI too am an old Coleman guy..... and still am! I carry a 2 burner stove and a double mantle lantern in the basement of our 40 foot pusher. You can often find barely used ones at garage sales.
Hobby... yeah, right!;) - STBRetiredExplorerFWIW, I have a 2 mantle Coleman lantern that has been sitting in my shed for probably 10 years. PM me it you want it. You pay the shipping and it is yours to add to your hoard, I mean collection.
- suprzExplorerJust on a side note, my local walmart has stopped stocking coleman liquid fuel (which was around 12.00 a gallon last time i looked). And has now started stocking Crown liquid camp fuel, which is around 8.00 a gallon. Yay! I have 30 lanterns and 22 stoves, and they are a thirsty bunch! :B
It's not an addiction, it's a hobby.... Thats what i tell my wife. :W - seaeagle2ExplorerThat picture brings back memories... When we were kids we had a cabin with no electricity so we cooked on a 3 burner Coleman stove and used Coleman lanterns for light. We would generally spend 4 weeks in the summer and a weekend a month the rest of the year. Because we put so much use on them, my dad was an expert at rebuilding stoves and lanterns, and when he passed and we went through the garage, there were about 4 stoves, and a couple lanterns and a bunch of parts for servicing them.
- nineoaks2004ExplorerI have a 2 burner stove, I converted it to LP with an adapter. Back in the day I took a schrader valve and brazed in it the tank all I had to do to air it up was a few pumps with a bicycle pump instead of having to remove the tank in the middle of cooking.,

Not the OP but I bought my stove via CL and prolly paid an "outlandish" price: 15 or 20 bucks;). I might of done better at a 'burb or rural garage sale but Manhattanites tend to not have garages or attics either. - bigred1cavExplorerWhere do you find them I would like to get in on the fun?

I can relate since I have a cooler addiction. My hubby won't let me buy any more since we have a little fridge in the basement of our 5th wheel now. Going to Costco this time of year puts my willpower to the test. So many different ones!
