Interesting subject.
I have my Dad's 1950's Coleman lantern. It has a chrome tank and a wide top reflector. He had a stove but he sold it years ago. He used to use unleaded gasoline in his. At that time the only unleaded was Amoco. It was referred to as "white" gas. Years ago I bought about 50 mantles. I still have them around here somewhere. Another advantage with these lanterns is they put off a lot of heat. Seems we always did our camping and fishing when it was cold here in PA.
