Converting Small BBQ to Propane (help needed)

(I did do the search engine first.)

Does anyone have a SMALL-er BBQ that they like that they have converted to use with their RV quick connect (instead of using the little propane tag-along bottles)?

I have a small BBQ that I like, but I cannot find appropriate connectors. (IF someone has a suggestion as to where to find such, that would also be welcomed.) So, I may be thinking of just trying something new, if you all have some nifty recommendations.

Thank you.

  • OOPSIE!!!
Okay, you guys are awesome!! However, I do have THAT end figured out already.
It is the BBQ itself that I need help with.
Most small little BBQ's have their own regulator where you attach the tiny bottle.
I wish to take that off (it is OFF), and convert the BBQ end of things to my propane quick connect.
    Thoughts?
Or brand of small BBQ that comes already adapted?
  • This is my high pressure adapter with a El (for hose routing considerations) and a shutoff valve. The top external tank port came with the adapter. The BBQ connector is the standard 1lb 1" screw on propane bottle type.

Hoses with the standard 1” screw on adapters are available. And an adapter for the standard BBQ regulator fitting are available. Propane stores can also make custom length hoses however I use 1 or 2 12' hoses as needed.

Here are the parts that connect to any grill.
  • I have done this with more than one propane device. In some cases I have been able to cut off the end of a hose that has one correct end and add the right fitting on the other end via a barbed fitting and hose clamp. In other instances I have spliced 2 hoses with a barbed coupler.
