We always raise our own beef so different cuts are always available. We have canned our own roasts in qt. jars to use for a quick meal. When we were on a three week trip a couple years back, we used that with instant potatoes and canned gravy for a quick satisfying meal after a long day of sight seeing. It also makes good hash over rice or biscuits. The difference is we know exactly what we were putting in the jar and exactly what we were getting out.
