You should try it again. We never had that problem with frozen hams. Yikes, my mom had a ham in the freezer for a year and I was kind of hesitant to bake it. Actually, it turned out great just like she just bought it.
The ham I made for Christmas was an Archer Farms (Target brand) spiral sliced Honeybaked circa. 2012! Yep, frozen for more than 2 years but came out PERFECT!
