crack in cast iron skillet
I recently bought a 10 inch cast iron chicken fryer at a flea market. As I was cleaning it up I noticed a 1 inch crack on the side wall. Can this be repaired or is it safe to use as is?

It can be repaired by welding. But it might be less expensive to replace it.
