No stick skillets..

We have a couple of non-stick pans that came with our Nu-Wave induction cooking system. Best non-stick pan surface we have ever had...nothing sticks so easy to clean up.

Oh...we don't have a dishwasher in our rig...wouldn't put any cooking pan in one anyway. :B

We use to cook on the old iron pans when we tent camped but have graduated to lighter easier cookware to handle. Don't get me wrong...iron does a great job but certainly not as easy to cleanup.

Every brand of cookware I own, except Corning, has had a pamphlet with it that said never to put it in a dishwasher.

Orgreenics recommends hand washing in warm water using mild dish soap. They clean up easily.

One thing that never goes in our dishwasher is cookware. I don't believe the chemicals in the soap are good for the surface of even stainless. Besides that, how much sanitation do you need for something you are going to heat up to cooking temps?

I have not. It cleans so easily that I haven't even thought of trying the dishwasher. I cannot imagine it would be a problem though.....

One word: Iron.

I have several pieces of Swiss Diamond and wish I could afford the whole set. I've had it five years and there has never been any flaking or sign of damage. It is heavy cast aluminum with a special kind of cooking surface and the thing I love the most is that it can go from stovetop to oven or vice versa. It's quite handy to have a baking pan with a handle like a frying pan. I've got an 8" square pan that makes the best cornbread and is just the right size for a coffee cake or other desert. DH has his favorite SD breakfast skillet for eggs. The directions say to never use metal utensils and we never have, so that may be why we've had no damage to our SD pieces. My very favorite is the 12" skillet with glass lid that makes a big ol' mess of fried okra and it also is great for BBQ ribs and any kind of meat in the oven. And yes, I KNOW there are no diamonds in that coating. Doesn't matter, that cookware may as well have diamonds as far as I'm concerned. It is worth every penny. I bought ours on Amazon.
