Do you use anything special for cookware? Another Question

My galley has a microwave mounted above the stove top that has a vent fan mounted below it. Initially, my oven had two settings - "Off" and "Burn". On the lower rack, I lined up 3 9"x9" unglazed tiles down the middle which spreads the heat around. Better than nothing, but just barely. An oven thermometer lives there too. I found that the knob settings are fiction. I use the oven for a casserole sometimes, but mostly, just storage.
