I made a bread pudding with pecans in the DO last weekend for the first time. A little caramel over the top, yum yum. Problem was there wasn't any left over for a midnight snack.
The cherry with chocolate cake mix is good. I have made it with and with out the DR. Pepper. I usually put the fruit in the bottom then the cake mix on top.
Peach, apple, 3 berry (blackberry, raspberry, blueberry frozen mix from Aldi's) are others I have made.
Top any of them with homemade ice cream, even better.
