You can get a long burn with briquettes by using a rope, fuse or snake layout. Basically you lay the briquettes in a line around the outside of the smoker and back down the center. The briquettes are in a pair with one on top which gives you 3 in a line and touching. You then light the string and before it burns out you go in and replace what has burned. Think of it as a fuse of 3 briquettes being lit at a time. This will burn a long time. I can't tell you how long in your unit, but it's enough to do ribs without a reload and that should give you a hint as to temp and time. I have a one story Brinkman in the RV and I can get a 4-5 hour burn and about 240 by running around the outside, it's a 16" diameter, and then back down the center and lighting the end with some hot coals. The room you have to make a trail of briquettes the longer it will burn.
