The campground we take the kids to has a pancake fundraiser every year while we are there. I've learned to add a berry compote along side the somebody else slaved over a hot griddle moment. They also include OJ and sausages so all I need are the hot beverages and eggs if the people are in the mood. You've inspired me to add a stone fruit compote on the side as well:cool:.

Just this morning I made from scratch:

Biskets
Sausage gravy
Butter scrambled eggs
Fruit with fresh strawberries
Avacado slice's

My 4 girls ate it up, Grandpa's know what they like, the smiles tell the story.

Chorizo Burriots with salsa.

My excellent coffee.....followed by.....left overs.

My favorite is milling up some wheat berries and then making whole wheat and green apple pancakes. A little butter and maple syrup is perfect, but they're great to eat cold later on during the day. Luckily my mills are electric!

Gave up my search for small eggs. They either don't exist in local supermarkets or are stupidly expensive and not even organic.

A sheet pan omelet baked on buttered parchment paper will do fine utilizing cookie cutters to make the egg fit the mini bagels. Now to mince some pork shoulder and fatback together in my Cuisinart with seasonings to make mini sausage patties. Playing w/ AB's recipe; he doesn't use enough sage for me and I'm in query land over his addition of rosemary so I'll just add more sage and drop the rosemary completely in favor of marjoram.

My chest freezer should be filled by the end of this month, LOL.

We like to have scrambled eggs and asparagus along with toast and coffee from time to time.
I will do eggs over easy with some blood sausage, toast with apple butter and coffee but the DW won't eat the blood sausage.

I do what eichacsj does, but I pre-bake the potatoes. Can do it at home, or bake them in the fire the previous night. They slice better when refrigerated after baking. Makes it faster to prepare the breakfast if you are not waiting on the taters to cook.

My kids have loved it for 30 years, and still request it when we go camping.

When I was in High School, it was a bowl of cereal and a slice of toast with butter. In college, it was a six pack and a package of Twinkies. Now, its an entire pot of coffee. Sometimes I add a store bought blueberry muffin. Then I take a nap. :)
