  • I've used Kingsford, worked great and very little ash on meat. Just go to get the stuff HOT, no black.

    If the embers are hot enough, the searing would eliminate much of the ash build up.

  • Wow! Laying the meat right on the hot embers. That's retro as it gets. Now I'm going to have to try this.
