Don't you have to blanch it, if you leave it on the cob?
We always blanch, put in an ice water bath to quickly cool, cut off the cob and bag.
I might try to freeze some on the cob. Never did that before. But that would work out for a shrimp boil, after corn is out of season. - PenManExplorerShuck it. Rinse it off and let dry. Put in freezer bags and into freezer.
