freezing fresh corn on cob

Looking for fast way to frrze corn on corn

    Don't you have to blanch it, if you leave it on the cob?

    We always blanch, put in an ice water bath to quickly cool, cut off the cob and bag.

    I might try to freeze some on the cob. Never did that before. But that would work out for a shrimp boil, after corn is out of season.
