Fried Taters

My first attempt at fried taters in the cast iron skillet. Came out pretty good. Even though I don't think we really needed the olive oil in them (my sister did that before I got to it). Put in some taters, onions, garlic powder, salt and pepper oh and bacon grease. Came out pretty good. Next time I will do it with out any olive oil and see if there is much of a difference.

curious what you did with the onions... Bennets BBQ in gatlinburg TN does up their fried taters with onions in it. Very good tasting. Momabear tried it here at home that way and they didn't turn out the same as Bennets BBQ. I think you may do the onions first and add to the taters maybe... Love the thin sliced up round country fried taters...
  • Yeah, sis said maybe not doing the olive oil would make them better. :)
