I don't see why not. If the yogurt is sweetened, I'd reduce the sugar. If its plain yogurt, you might need to increase the sugar.
I use plain fat free yogurt in place of sour cream for a lot of recipes. It works best if you drain the yogurt for an hour or so first. I just use a small metal strainer lined with a coffee filter and set over a bowl.
