Greasy cast iron pan
Another cast iron question: In my parents things, I found a cast iron pan with many layers of grease cooked on it. What do you think I should do to clean it up ?

Cast iron with large crud build don't heat evenly. You could potentially crack a good pan at worst, or get really P.O.'ed that it doesn't work. Clean it and use it, there are lots of good advise on how, right here.
