Greasy cast iron pan
Another cast iron question: In my parents things, I found a cast iron pan with many layers of grease cooked on it. What do you think I should do to clean it up ?

One thing all other posters failed to mention, do not use soap on cast iron. Clean with water only.
One CAN add some kosher salt to the water; adds enough grit to help clean it out a little more.
