Probably an exhausted topic - please don't chastise me for not searching, I'm being lazy today. Are any of you carting around a full size charcoal grill? ... like, the Weber kettle? I don't have...

Can't imagine why a smaller Weber couldn't cook a pork shoulder.
I think it's just a matter of keeping the het source away from the meat, and then also keeping enough fuel in the unit to maintain 250'ish degrees for 12'ish hours. That last part can be a challenge even in a full size kettle
