While not boiled, but I still wanted to share because the end result is same as a boiled egg. I'm a pit master and get told I'm cooking for friends graduation, anniversary and birthday parties. Whenever I get started smoking whatever meats, I take, usually 2 dozen, eggs and put them on my big smoker at the far end from the firebox for about an hour or hour and a half.
You'll have to "sacrifice" one when you do it, until you get the hang of it. I learned quickly, so no doubt y'all will too. Peel them, and make whatever you'd like. There is a very small smoke ring on the peeled egg, and the white egg shells turn very brown in about 15 minutes or so.
Super cool to do, if people are around when you do it. I've been doing this for almost a decade and have had 3-4 people that have seen it before.
Enjoy!!!!
