hesh and eat your Brocolli

Mail on line has an article from elsewhere about Brocolli.
An element exclusive to Brocolli recharges the batteries in our cells.
A newer breed of Brocolli called Beneforte has much more of it.
The reccomendation is to eat your regualr diet and a lot more Brocolli three times a week.
We're going to have to stock up on a lot of cheese sauce. No steaming either. I don't care for Brocolli much except in a good real cheese sauce not Kraft etc imitation or nearly cheese sauce.
Who know I might even develop a sparking personality....not.

  • I like fresh broccoli cooked in the microwave with a little water just to the tender stage. Sprinkle with a little Lowry's Seasoned Salt, lemon juice. Good, easy, and good for you. We've been eating it every week for decades, including on our RV trips.
  • I know it sounds strange but the DH introduced me to French Dressing on broccoli. I gave it a try and never went back to cheese sauce, even though I love it with cheese. I even use the reduced fat French dressing and it's still good on my broccoli. Give it a try and see what you think...you might be surprised how good it is.

    For one minute there I thought you meant it would charge batteries in cellPHONES...thereby creating a huge demand and causing broccoli to disappear from grocery stores and dinner tables everywhere.

    A development likely to have caused much rejoicing in certain circles, especially among that population group known as "my Grandkids"!

    :B

    Might work. Put one wire in the cheese sauce and one wire in a large tree of Brocolli and heat. Seems like a terrible waat of chees sauce though. :)

    The cheese sauce adds so many calories as well as fat that you might be undoing all the good the broccoli does for you.

    Pretty sure that's why Ranch dressing was created as well. ;)
  • I used to not like broccoli, but we went to a dinner and I hated to not eat at least some. It was great. She had sprinkled a small amount of Monterrey Steak Seasoning on it with a little salt and pepper and a smidge of parmesean cheese.

    Try it with a little squirt of lemon juice; or just salt and pepper;
