I have one of those KitchenAid Ice cream attachments. You freeze the bowl and then let the mixer stir the ice cream until it sets up. Put the soft ice cream in the freezer to harden. Anyhow, the ice cream base that I use is the same, just the flavorings change. I will tell you that with the purchase of an ice cream maker, you will also gain an extra 15 lbs. free of charge!
Strawberry Ice Cream:
3 cups of half and half
1 can of sweetened condensed milk
1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
1 cup of partially thawed, frozen pureed strawberries, (or flavoring of choice)
Combine all the ingredients and chill. Place in ice cream maker and follow manufacturer's directions.
