how do you store countertop appliances?

Which just a word of advice from experience about micros.
My original factory micro died so I while on the road I just picked up a small one from Walmart and stuck in it's place. When traveling I pushed it to the back assured that the framing would hold it in place if it slid around
I made a turn on uneven ground at a sporting event and that micro came out like a guided missile. When it hit the floor I thought a bomb had gone off inside the MH.....and after pulling over and changing clothes it 'looked' like one did!
