How many sides are too many?

Looks like a small turnout for Thanksgiving at our house this year. My wife starts rattling off all the dishes she thinks belongs on the menu and I tell her that we have more side dishes than people. Anyone that knows me, knows that I love to put on the spread but this got out of hand before it even started. Mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, Jell-O salad, corn, rolls, cranberry, apple pie, pumpkin pie, pecan pie and of course, turkey with turkey gravy. 6 people.

  • I almost forgot the daughter's boyfriend request for Waldorf salad.
  • Great menu. I like it that there is no green beans. I hate green beans. Just give me a double dose of pecan pie

If things got tough, I could do with turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, yams, and the double dose of pecan pie
  • Not too many sides. Perhaps too few people. Invite anyone who might be alone or even folks you don't know. Thisis the essence of Thanks Giving
