Think Induction cooking technology has greatly changed since Julia's experience...when was that by the way?
She passed in 2004 and didn't get to use or see what's available now.
She moved back to her home state somewhere between the mid and late 90's. I'd have to google when her hubby, Paul, died to say with more certainty. Some people follow movie stars rabidly; fer me it's cooking people,LOL.
The only change I'm aware of is the appliances have become less expensive which is certainly a plus.
I DO know that it's a faster type of cooking than many other forms but I'm used to cooking w/ natural gas and just don't see a worthy reason to change. No problem w/ those who advocate it..just not needed for me to re-invent the wheel for minimal return. You should keep in mind that I live in an area with some of the highest electricity costs in the country. As did Julia;).
