July 4th Plans?

Anyone planning on having a cookout with family and friends? Watcha having?

We're having our annual family reunion. Bacon-themed of course with plenty of meat and pot luck side dishes. Newlywed daughter-in-law has fit right in with her grandmother's bacon potato salad. It's potato salad with crispy bacon mixed into it.

    Family will gather round our swimming pool. We're being lazy, though, and instead of grilling anything, we're providing Schlotzky's sandwiches, chips and dips, a fruit and cheese platter in the shape of the US flag, and a dried fruit and nut loaf for dessert.

    When it gets too hot outside, we'll retire inside for a few rounds of Mexican Train.
