Kitchen Matches
Any problems/danger with carrying a box of kitchen matches in the rv? Like driving over bumps and the matches self striking/igniting? Thanks! Pat

I've always carried ours in a metal can with a tight fitting lid. I think rule to follow is to not carry too many in one container. If they should ignite you don't want them to blow a lid off before they run out of O2. A vacuum bag like the ones that use a hand pump should work great, no O2, no fire. I would put them in something like a medicine container before sealing so that any fire from initial sparks wouldn't burn the bag.
Way too complicated for me...I think I'll stay with just rubbing 2 sticks together...but, I keep the sticks safely separated so they don't accidentally rub together as I bounce down the road...
