I have a full set of Pyrex cookware. It was inherited by my ex when his mother passed away. When he left, he took the very expensive waterless cookware that we had bought together and left me with the Pyrex. I recently replaced it with new stainless steel cookware. My fiance wanted to keep the Pyrex stuff. He swears that is has the best heat retention of any cookware he's ever seen. He calls it the nuclear cookware. I'm glad he likes it. It only brought me bad memories. Be careful when bringing things to a boil, like rice, because it will boil over even on the lower temp stove settings.
