I'm just going by what Momma said: NEVER put a Corning Ware clear glass lid in the oven or on the stove. I realize my previous post was a little unclear (no pun intended) on putting the clear glass lids in the microwave... They're OK for that.
Corningwear glass lids are ovenproof and are designed to be used that way. Herself has been using her CW casseroles with their lids for years.
However the OP is discussing Pyrex which is a different animal altogether.
