swtgran it might be that the combo would be better. The differences are primarily that this one has a griddle and the other a fry pan and the combo is a little more tapered. Without digging it out and measuring, I think the combo is a little deeper. I imagine that the taper accounts for the smaller capacity. The combo is listed as 10 1/4" which is a standard for Lodge. A 10 1/4" lid will fit everything form skillets to DO's and griddles, but the combo lid is slightly different than the standard and doesn't fit other items well. This might be because mine, I have 2, are old, 15> years.
