Booze, "energy drinks", rehydration drinks, etc are LOADED with calories. Replace them all with unsweetened tea or water and you'll see a difference.
Avoid the ice cream and other treats in the cg office which can be another source of high calories. Limit restaurant visits on each trip and eat healthy sandwiches and salads. Not every meal has to be a gourmet vacation meal. This will save you both calories and money.
Also, walking is a terrific exercise and all the cgs I know have a place to walk/hike. The upshot is to burn more calories than you consume.
We belonged to a group of campers at one time. All of their activities involved eating potluck breakfasts, shopping and eating, and campfire desserts and eating. We both lost a lot of weight when we left the group.
Dutch Oven Gatherings are terrific but again, be aware of how much you eat and in what portions. Smelling all that food cooking it's difficult to push away but a small taste of several dishes is adequate.
