Make ahead and freeze

I was wondering what are some good make ahead and freeze meals for a longer trip(2 weeks)?

thanks,
Dean
  • Double ditto on any slow cooker recipe. Also most casseroles and lasagne. If you want to do some dishes at camp, you can pre-chop the meats and most firm vegetables and freeze them. Take a look in the freezer section of the grocery store and you'll see vegetables already frozen too, including chopped onions. You can also precook chicken and freeze it.

If you do a lot of RVing you might want to get a vacuum sealer for make ahead meals and your prepped vegetables and meats. The vacuum reduces the bulk of the package as a bonus which will let you store more.
  • Chili, vegetable soup. We freeze it than take it out to thaw and put it in the microwave to heat up. We've even made stuff cabbage and stuff peppers.
  • Brunswick stew, beef stew almost anything that can be in a slow cooker.

    works for us
