On a TV cooking show last day or so, I saw a woman apparently boil the turkey for however long but not long. She dried it good and put in the pan and cooked it on 275 for 21/2 to three hours covered ...

You can get the same results by adding the stuffing into the bottom of the pan if you cook your turkey on a rack. It's all about the drippings, inside or out.
