Here's a quote about bake sales from an above post:" I don't buy baked goods at a bake sale because I don't know where they have come from, I just give them money."
A very popular shared opinion. I really maintain that cooking and baking for close family/friends is one thing. Strangers and casual acquaintances is another thing. According to my other forum, if people know that you have pets or kids-it frequently goes in the trash. And it's not just 'cooties'! DH had a co-worker that had to have EMTs called to work for an anaphylactic reaction to some homemade thing he ate. This guy knew he was allergic to nuts, he asked the guy that brought it if it had nuts, 'No' was the reply and boom.
