Mostly it depends on how you prepare meals at home as to what you will need. I have the toaster, crock pot and coffee maker and a hand mixer. Personally I wouldn't leave home without my portable ice maker. The freezer is used for food storage so it leaves little or no room for ice trays and I'm an ice fanatic. After we're parked filling it with water and turning it on is one of the first things I do. Within 20-30 minutes I have ice. It pretty much runs continually
