National DOG 2017

For all those who are Cast Iron Chefs and those interested in Dutch Oven campfire cuisine, the National Dutch Oven Gathering info is available. It's advised you start making reservations now if you plan to attend.

The 2017 National DOG will be at:

June 15 - 18, 2017

    With the Arctic weather there won't be anything until warm weather: unless there is a group that's into Polar DOGS. :b

    As much as we'd really like to make that CA NDOG it just won't happen. At least this year. Any happenings in the mid west?

    Those Griswolds are valuable when in good condition!

    Let's hope it really is a Griswold as opposed to a reproduction. Does have an incredibly tight lid and nice weight. Made a lip-smacking pot roast chicken with the pot's help.

    Well I'm not ready for a national or even local DO meet but it seems I've finally acquired a Dutch oven of my very own. Getting my mother's apt ready for eventual sale whilst the sale of my own apt is ongoing (sheesh, displaced residency is big in my family right now) found a Griswold prolly 6 quarter, and claimed it. Christmas came a little early.
