I've got a Weber Smokey Mountain and it's great. It's big though, and I think the OP is looking for something smaller. I rarely take my WSM camping due to the size. Great smoker though!

I know the Weber Smoky mountain is big, but my link goes to their 14.5 inch model that they released this year. It is just about the size of the Weber Smokey Joe grill just has a body to it. I am a huge Weber fan, they build a great product, have excellent customer service and they are American made, that is exactly what I look for any any product, can't always find it but I look.

How big do you need/want? We have one of these stove top smokers and you can also use it on a grill. Works great!

by using a 6" Smoke Daddy with our Holland Companion Grill we have an excellent portable smoker that we take with us when traveling .... the Smoke Daddy can be used for cold smoking something like cheese or for hot smoking ribs and other meats
