New Lodge Cast Iron
I just bought a new seasoned Lodge cast Iron skillet from Wally World. It's working better than I thought it would. I'm impressed b/c based on some comments you'd think cast iron is the devil's me...

Don't throw that Lodge skillet out or give it away! Just use it and take care of it right, and soon it will turn out to be just about as good as any Wagner or Griswald out there. I bought my Lodge skillet from Target several years ago. After seasoning it properly and using it for a month or so, it was completely non-stick and my favorite pan to cook with.
I'd love to be able to go to flea markets or sales to find old Wagner skillets for $3, but at a minimum they go for $20-30 at the sales around here, and I got to a LOT of flea markets and garage sales. Maybe Texans just know the value of good old cast iron.
