One thing I have wondered is how do you guys & girls store your ci cookware? I have read to layer paper towel, towels, paper bags, etc between pieces to prevent trapping moisture.
We do most of our cooking outside so I considered a rubbermaid tub or case ( maybe homebuilt?) to store the ci in, then just pull the tub out of the trailer and set it by the grill/ stove so it's handy. Just concerned the rubbermaid tub may trap moisture. Any thoughts?
Let me guess, use it at home as well? Wife recently bought a new set of pots & pans with the ceramic coating, so not sure I could hang the ci in place of it! Lol
Just gets tiring when you need to run back in the tt to grab "that other pan"
TY!
After every use and clean, whether indoors or out,I heat the CI to remove moisture and if I'm not feeling lazy, season it with a lil oil after any noticeable moisture is gone. I'm currently tent camping so store my pots in a Rubbermaid Action Packer (stronger than the plastic bins you find at say WM) for long trips or a vinyl bag for short ones. On site the pots either rest on the camp kitchen's shelves or are placed upside down on next to the grill on the picnic table. Upside down is useful since it doesn't allow dew to fall on the cooking surface. I'm a firm believer in point of use storage which 'splains why I keep items where they are. Don't like searching.
