I borrowed a friends in August and fixed a fresh turkey. Not sure what it weighed. It was one of the kid's fair turkeys that didn't survive the trip home. It weighed around 40-45lb live, so probably 20-25 lb dressed. I put it in wrong side up and it's legs were sticking out the top when it started cooking. I shoved the legs down in after about an hour of cooking and put the lid on. Took a little over 3 hours to cook and was really moist.
We bought one in September and I fixed a 14 pound in about 2 1/2 hours. Same good results. Can't wait till Thanksgiving to fix another.
