Big boss oil less fryer

Kitchen Collection, has this on sale. Has anyone used this fryer. In theory it sounds great, but we no how that can go. We love fried food, and this would be great health wise, if the food is good.

Can you put in your suggestions ?

We have one of these. It's not the greatest, but it does do a pretty good job and with everything being enclosed you can leave the oil in it. We do filter our oil before it's returned.I think we got ours at Walmart.

It is very close because of the process. Applying the high heat to the surface of the bird is similar to doing it with hot oil. I've don both and I don't see much difference if the birds are3 brined properly.

  • I've had a few deep fried turkeys and the products coming out of these devices on the youtube videos don't look anything like deep fried to me. When someone adds the word, "fryer" to the description, that's what I'm expecting.
  • I have the Charbroil oil-free fryer. As another said, its really an upright gas oven. It is very easy to use. A large Purdue roaster cooks up nicely in about an hour. I generally brush with a mix of olive oil and soy sauce to make a nice brown skin. The meat is very moist.

At the price, its a good way to have roasted meat without heating and messing up the kitchen.
  • I have the Charboil Oil-less fryer. I like it but have not used it in the last year. ITS big and bulky. BUT the big thing IS NO OIL to deal with. BUT it does cook a nice turkey breast, pork roast, pretty much anything that will fit down into the basket. I really would call it a gas oven. Thats basically what it does, its an oven, heat from the bottom and the sides, last few minutes you place a cover over it to crisp/brown the meat. Also cooks a good brisket too..
