Yes ease of clean up would be a worthwhile reason to get an oil less fryer.
Cleaning up the conventional fryer and dealing with the new and used oil is a pain.
I started with an oil fryer and they produce a great turkey, but with the little difference, you couldn't pay me to deep fry one again.
I might add that I use a temperature probe, which I tend to do on everything if possible, and it helps to decide when to start the browning. The only thing to remember is that the cable might be damaged by the heat rise. To get past this I generously wrap that part of the cable that crosses the gap between the edge of the cooker and the basket in AL foil.
