Are you able to get a second opinion? Are you close to any of the leading cancer centers, such as Dana Farber, Sloan Kettering, Johns Hopkins, Mayo Clinic, or Anderson (Texas)? sometimes the bigger, renowned places have more cutting-edge treatment or access to clinical trials. Or they can set your mind at ease that the place you're going is using the correct protocols. Sometimes you don't even have to go there physically, they will review your medical records and provide an opinion and guidance. Even if you have to go for one visit, they can work with your local provider to shape your treatment plan.
Hang in there. One hour at a time when one day at a time is too daunting. And know that we are praying for you.
