We like our buns a little steamed. When camping, the equipment for that process is not available so we grill the wieners, put them on the bun and slide the hot dogs back into the plastic bag the buns came in.
When we are all ready to grab our hot dog, we pull the steamy dog out of the bag, and pile it with whatever condiments each of us want... chili sauce, mustard, catsup, onions, homemade relish, etc.
Gotta have homemade relish on a hot dog.
