This us a great thread...mostly what we get in restaurants isn't as fresh as we like. I like the crockpot ideas. Grill pork chops, chicke, or burgers. Add simple salads, canned soup, steamed fresh vegies, sides like pot salad, cole slaw etc. As tasty and fraction of the cost of eating out. When I'm alone. I don't enjoy sitting in a restaurant anyway. Keep healthy snacks around like nuts, wheat crackers (no fat), fresh fruit.Minimize sweets. Treat yourself 2x week.
