I also have a Davey Crockett. I really like it. It folds up to a pretty small size and the feet become the carrying handle. Works well.
You might want to consider the wireless option as that allows you to be somewhere else and still monitor the meat temp (via the cooking probe) or change the cooking temps, using your phone.
