We have used this one for a long time. Never seem to have any left overs.
1 lb. ground beef (browned and drained)
1/2 to 1 sweet bell pepper chopped
1/2 an onion (+ or -) chopped
2 cans pork and beans drained and rinsed
1/4 cup your favorite BBQ sauce
3/4 cup catchup
1/4 cup brown sugar ( + or - )
1/4 cup white sugar ( + or - )
We tend to cut back on the sugar just a little bit.
After browning the ground beef and draining add the chopped onion and green pepper. Cook for a short amount of time to get them to start softening. Add in the sugar, bbq sauce, catchup and beans.
Bake @ 350 for 30-45 minutes uncovered.
We do the browning and start the cooking of the onions and green pepper in the micro wave to speed things up.
