Go to the isle where the dried beans are in the grocery store.
They have these small bags that have several kinds of beans in it AND a flavor packet. I've made this and it tastes surprisingly Great!
An option per the instructions is to add one smoked ham hock to it. That pushed it over to tasting REAL good! Lots of protein value also.
Costs of couple of bucks and is made all in one pot. That should do you. And the best part is it keeps safely in the fridge and actually gets better and better tasting after several days.
This is the one I buy called 15 bean soup. Found at all grocery stores.
